Tågaborg's oldest villa - Hertzska villan - 1852
Tågaborg · Helsingborg
Description
Hertzska villan is located at the corner of Vikingsbergsparken in Tågaborg and has a long history. The house was built in 1852 and is said to be Tågaborg's oldest. Since the mid-1990s it has served as a private residence of 331 m², which today is fully renovated, but it also houses a shop and a party and conference venue of 300 m², of which the large hall is 85 m² with a ceiling height of 5.40 m. The layout allows for both residential and town-centre use.
The villa is q-listed and largely unchanged since 1896 and is the oldest preserved cultural environment in Tågaborg. It bears witness to the district's rural origins, has an intrinsic building-historical value and great cultural-historical value, the city writes in the preservation programme for Tågaborg.
The villa is today divided into a residence and a commercial space/hall with a total area of approx. 631 m².
The plot, which is part of Vikingsbergsparken, has an area of 1763 m², which also has room for 15 parking spaces.
The estate Nyborg, as the building was then called, was built in 1852 by the court marshal Nils Barck for his daughter Louise. Other owners over the years have been:
Rittmaster Adolf Fredrik Mannerskantz 1859-1862
Count Alfred Piper 1862-1874
Count Lage Posse 1874-1876
Countess Elisabeth Piper 1876-1881
Mill owner Ottonin Lungqvist 1881-1904
Wholesaler Fredrik Hertz 1904-1947
City of Helsingborg 1947-1994
In 1994 the property was purchased by architect SAR Ulf Hedlund, who restored the then demolition-threatened villa.
The Eliasson family has, from 2020 to the present day, renovated the residence and the premises, in which they have also run their business.
The villa is sold in its entirety with the possibility that Butik Linnea will sublet the premises for a few years.
